Membership subscriptions are payable annually on 1st April and the membership year runs to the next 31st March. You will receive the Retreats guidebook published in the December falling between those dates, i.e. for 1 April 2021 to 31 March 2022 we will send the 2022 guidebook in December 2021.

Our subscription rates have been held since April 2016, and are:
- Individual member £25
- Concession (elective rate for the unwaged and those on smaller incomes) £20
- Parish/group/community £30
APR member retreat providers receive a free listing in the directory section of the RA’s annual Retreats guidebook and also qualify for a discount on other advertising taken out with the Retreat Association. In addition, APR offers valuable promotional opportunities on this website at no extra charge, as well as the offer of bursaries for guests who might otherwise not be able to afford the whole cost of a visit to you.
The APR Trustees are committed to keeping subscriptions for member retreat venues as low as possible; our current rates (below) have been held since April 2016. The annual subscription is scaled to the size of your centre:
- Large (20+ beds) £100
- Medium (7-20 beds) £50
- Small (non-residential or up to 6 beds) £30

We keep APR subscription rates low to enable as many people as possible to maintain their membership. While we rely on the annual subscriptions to facilitate our core work, we are especially grateful for donations and bequests, which enable us to develop our work in promoting retreats even further. Such generosity has, for example, enabled us to create and maintain our Bursary fund, which helps our member retreat centres in providing retreats for people who may not otherwise be able to afford the whole cost, and in organising very successful large-scale diocesan conferences, as well as encouraging people at the start of their ministry with a period of complimentary membership.
If you are able to consider making a regular donation to APR’s work, you may like to add this to your annual subscription. For one-off donations either to our general fund or direct to our Bursary Fund, please use the PayPal links (see left) or, if you would rather send a cheque, please make this payable to ‘Association for Promoting Retreats’, adding “Bursary Fund” if desired, and send to our office address.
