APR Spring Retreat 2026
Book your place for our spring Poetry and Prayer retreat to be held at Sheldon Retreat Centre from 20-22 March 2026, and led by Helen Evans and Demelza Henderson. Entitled ‘Soaring on Wings like Eagles’, the retreat will offer you a quiet time of rest, fun and creativity, enjoying poetry’s richness as a resource for your spiritual journey. You are very welcome to come as a writer or as a reader of poems, whether you’re someone who already loves poetry or whether you’re new to it. Held gently in a framework of simple prayer and of silence, the retreat will include: close reading and discussion of poems as a group; writing prompts and exercises; one-to-one meetings on request (with Helen about your writing life and/or with Demelza for spiritual accompaniment); free time for rest, reading, writing, private prayer and/or contemplation; and relaxed social time. The retreat will cost £365-£395 per person, which will cover all your meals and accommodation expenses.
