We are living in unpredecented times. The Coronavirus epidemic has closed down many aspects of our normal daily lives, and many people are living in unwanted, yet enforced, self-isolation. Retreat Houses have been instructed to close, for what might be months, congregational church services have been suspended, and many people are often fearful for what lies ahead.

These pages are designed to encourage and inspire you in your own walks with God at this worrying time. You might like to view the ‘lock-down’ as a time of private Retreat. Read that spiritual book you’ve always meant to take off your shelf, or even tackle one of the gospels in its entirety. Perhaps you would like to start saying your own daily prayers, or learn to appreciate poetry. Explore the links (in blue) and pages below – and if you know of anything that might further encourage or support people at these strange times, please do email it to the Administrator, at promoting.retreats@gmail.com.

News from our Retreat Houses

Following a Trustee meeting in July, the APR sent a small financial gift to all retreat houses who were APR members at the time. We hoped the small gesture of support would encourage their work as the country came out of lockdown. Click here to see how some of the money was spent!
